Chemistrie Color CVD or Chemistrie Sun Clip

New Chemistrie Color is a breakthrough in lens technology that has been developed by a proprietary artificial intelligence program. This high-tech program has identified the ideal color gamut to assist with the perception of color in those with color blindness. While some competitors rely on heavy red or pink tinted lenses, Chemistrie Color provides CVD patients with the truest possible discernment of color and enhances genuine color vision. Unlike other CVD products, Chemistrie Color is available in multiple lens options: ready-made Non-Prescription glasses, a Non-Prescription lenses to be cut into any frame, or as a custom Chemistrie Clip.

Anti-Reflective Treatments

Anti-Reflective Coatings reduce the amount of reflections off the lenses allowing more light to the eye, enabling you to see crisper and sharper. Anti-Reflective coatings help everyone with general vision, and in particular anyone who drives at night or uses a computer.

These coatings are the same coatings that are applied to camera lenses, binocculars, telescopes, and any other lens that requires good optics.

Drivewear® Lenses

Photochromic lenses darken to adapt to changing light conditions when exposed to UV rays, but car windshields include UV-blocking filters that prevent the lenses from changing—so standard photochromic lenses are not ideal for driving.

Enter Drivewear® lenses, created by Transitions® to solve that problem. Drivewear lenses can sense and react to varying light conditions both outside and behind the windshield of the car. From bright sunlight accompanied by intense, blinding glare, to overcast inclement conditions, Drivewear lenses provide the ideal tint for any light conditions.

Polarized Sunglass Lenses

Without getting technical the best choice for sunglasses are Polarized lenses. They block glare reflecting off of objects.

Real life examples are as follows:

Driving down the road and the sun reflecting off the back window of the car in front of you.
Boating or fishing and the sun reflects off the water.
Driving while its raining and the sun reflecting off the wet road.

The most popular polarized colors are grey, brown, and Drivewear Polarized Transitions.

Grey is the best for the brightest conditions. Also good for deep water fishing.

Brown is a good all around lens. Also good for flats fishing.

Drivewear is good for driving, rainy conditions (during the day), golf, cloudy or overcast days.

Therapeutic Sunglass Lenses

Transitions Lenses

There are different brands of photochromic lenses, however none match up to what Transitions offers.

Transitions lenses are lenses that change from light to dark. Most do not change behind the windshield of a car, though.

The newest addition of transitions is Transitions 8. These lenses are virtually clear indoors; when outside they change to a comfortable grey or brown color. They also change the fastest of any Transition lens.

The other two main types of Transitions are XTRActive and Transitions XtrActive Polarized.

The XTRActive are the darkest indoors and change to the darkest outdoors. They also change a bit behind the windshield of a car.

Then there are the Transitions XtrActive Polarized. These lenses have a slight color indoors, however when in bright sunlight there are molecules that hitch together and form a polarized filter. Transitions XtrActive Polarized lenses also do not change behind the windshield of a car.

While Transition lenses are convenient, they still are not a replacement for a good pair of prescription Polarized sunglasses.

Computer Lenses And Treatments

Blue Blocking Anti-Reflective Treatments – Most of the make the lenses look slightly yellow with a slightly purple Anti-reflective color

Blue Blocking lenses like:

Blu-Tech – has a slight yellowish brown appearance

Bluloc, Blue Check, UV420, Essilor’s Smart Blue Filter, and Blu-Zero -These all have a slight grey hue and when combined with a premium Anti-Reflective Treatment seem to be the most effective and the most soothing to the eye.
